The 2023 EdUHK-OUC Exchange Programme was Successfully Held
The Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) of the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) was invited to participate in “2023 EdUHK-Ocean University of China Exchange Programme” held by the Office for Hong Kong and Macao Affairs (OHKMA) and the School of International Affairs and Public Administration (SIAPA) of the Ocean University of China (OUC). Five days programme gave our undergraduate and postgraduate students a platform to learn from natural sciences and organizational management in public administration.
Opening Ceremony
At the Opening Ceremony in OUC on 18 May 2023, Mr Hanlin WANG, the Deputy Director of OHKMA, Professor Shaobin WU, Party Secretary of the School of Political Science and Public Administration at Shangdong University, Professor Qi WANG, Dean of SIAPA, and Mr Litian HUANG, Deputy Party Secretary and Associate Dean of SIAPA, and Professor Lina VYAS from EdUHK delivered inspiring opening speeches. Professor Gang WANG, Associate Dean of SIAPA, moderated the opening Ceremony.
They pointed out that two universities need to use the exchange platform to deepen understanding, strengthen contact and interaction, and hope to continue to promote cooperation through this exchange programme.

Site Visit of Signal Hill, May Fourth Square, and Olympic Sail Center to gain an in-depth understanding of Qingdao’s city culture
Site visit of The PLA Naval Museum to explore the history of Chinese Navy development
Close Ceremony
At the Closing Ceremony on 20 May 2023, Mr Litian HUANG, Deputy Party Secretary and Associate Dean of SIAPA, highlighted that EdUHK and OUC will continue this meaningful exchange programme and search for further cooperation.
The student representatives, Ms Kenman LIU of OUC, Mr Chen CAO of SDU and Ms Yudan WANG of EdUHK concluded the unique experiences throughout the exchange programme. They said that this programme enhanced their friendship, broadened their horizons, and achieved common progress and development.
