Education and Society
INTRODUCTION
The Education and Society minor will enable students not only to understand how education can enhance quality of life and social well-being in the community, but also to identify the challenges the education sector faces in supporting personal growth and community development.
After completing this minor, students should be able to:
a. explain different educational and pedagogical issues from a variety of sociological perspectives; and
b. analyse the values of education in transforming society and the ethical dimensions of educational practices.

Students who take this Minor will be required to take two courses out of the three at level 1 and 2 (*), and then 3 courses from the remaining.
