Chinese History is an important subject in Hong Kong secondary schools particularly in junior forms. This minor provides students with a basic understanding of the design and characteristics of the Chinese History curriculum in Hong Kong, and also equips them with the teaching skills of this subject. It introduces the continuity and changes of the history of China and Hong Kong with a focus on the inter-relationship among the geographic, economic, social, political and diplomatic developments from the pre-historic period to the present by adopting interdisciplinary approach. This minor also emphasizes the main features and achievements of the Chinese culture.
