Overview
Promoting mental health and wellness is salient in preventing mental health crisis. Research suggests that practices of awareness and compassion can promote resilience, well-being, and reducing stress and anxiety.
This project offers the following seminars and training workshops to EdUHK staff and students as well as school teachers and students:

- 8-week Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

- Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy Programme (Segal, Williams & Teasdale 2012)
- Soles of the Feet Programme (Singh 2011)
- Mindfulness-Based Positive Behavior Support (MBPBS) (Singh 2014)
- Self-compassion (Neff 2003)
Objectives
- To enhance the participants’ well-being and resilience by practicing MRC for personal growth and well-being;
- To bridge up the learning of the participants to the educational setting in which they work with their students in the classroom of EdUHK and the project schools;
- To develop resources for promoting mental health and positive culture in schools and communities including children, adolescents, educational professionals, and parents;
- To establish a sustainable network and community for promoting well-being.
