Enthusiastic and curious graduate students participated in two GS-organised drawing workshops on April 3 and 10. The two sessions followed a similar structure, aiming to help participants discover the joy and creativity of drawing. The workshops were facilitated by Ms Passy Deng Yang, a lecturer in the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts.

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, have taken a significant step forward in fostering international academic collaboration with the signing of two agreements. The signing ceremony was held on the morning of 10 April 2025 at EdUHK’s Tai Po campus, marking the beginning of a promising partnership between the two institutions.
Muslim RPg students and GS faculty gathered on April 3rd in a post-Ramadan celebration. Associate Dean of the Graduate School, Professor Looi Chee Kit, welcomed students by reflecting on his experiences celebrating Eid with friends in Singapore. Students meanwhile explained how they had collectively organised nightly meals throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

Three distinguished EdUHK scholars shared their insights into doctoral supervision in a GS-hosted online workshop on March 25. The seminar aimed to help doctoral students and supervisors better understand each other’s roles, share effective communication and mentoring strategies, and enhance the quality of academic collaboration. The three speakers, Professor Bill Yeung Chi-ho, Dr Angel Ma Qing, and Dr Alfredo Bautista, were introduced by Professor Michelle Gu Mingyue, the Dean of the Graduate School.
On March 20, Principal Cheng Lai-kuen of F.D.B.W.A. Chow Chin Yau School delivered a career talk titled “Are You Ready? Exploring the Educational Landscape of Hong Kong Aided Primary Schools: Curriculum Features, Teacher Roles, and Principal Expectations” for postgraduate students. The session at EdUHK’s Tai Po campus aimed to help aspiring educators gain deeper insight into the curriculum and employment practices of aided primary schools in Hong Kong, equipping them for their future careers.
Professor Andy Xuesong Gao from the University of New South Wales delivered a seminar titled “Conducting and Publishing Research Synthesis: Techniques and Best Practices” on March 15, 2025. The session focused on the critical process of research synthesis within the academic and scientific community, detailing various methodologies and best practices.
