Master of Education Programme Orientation 2024

[26 August] The Graduate School at the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) holds Master of Education programme orientation for the 2024/25 intake students.

The Graduate School of the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held a one-day orientation event on August 26, 2024, at the Tai Po campus. Over 400 2024/25 intake Master of Education (MEd) students participated. Professor GU Mingyue Michelle, the Dean of the Graduate School, welcomed the students and provided an overview of the MEd programme. Additionally, Professor GU introduced the four study patterns available to MEd students: completing eight taught courses, joining a dual Master’s degree programme, participating in taught courses plus an overseas learning experience program, and finishing taught courses along with a research project. Specifically, for students intending to pursue a higher degree in the near future, Professor GU recommended they consider conducting a research project during the academic year.

Dr. TSANG, Yiu Fai Chris (Assistant Dean & MEd Programme Director), Ms. POON, Sin Yi Teresa (Assistant Registrar of Graduate School), Dr. YU, Jing (MEd Programme Coordinator), and Dr John PATKIN also participated in the orientation. They primarily introduced the timeline for the academic year, the programme structure and online course registration, supports available for students, and issues related to graduation. The orientation provided the students an excellent opportunity to learn about their programme, meet with their peers and being cheered up for the upcoming academic year.
