The Department of International Education (IE) at EdUHK has introduced an innovative learning experience through the "Conflict and Peace in Europe" study tour led by Prof. Mark Mason and Dr. Ezechiel Thibaud. As part of the Experiential Learning Course (ELC), this three-credit elective for undergraduates focuses on understanding World War II, the Cold War, and the role of European and global institutions in promoting peace. Students visited Berlin, Strasbourg, and Geneva, exploring key sites like Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, the Holocaust Memorial, and the United Nations. The tour exceeded all expectations, offering a profound and impactful educational journey.
