The bottom line is that working on the project together allows you to pool your
knowledge and skills, share tasks, review and reflect on learning, question each
others’ views and ideas, and learn how to work together productively.
In working as a team, leaders can:
> see patterns and meanings not apparent to individuals (synergy);
> share in-depth knowledge from their special fields of expertise; and
> know that leadership knowledge is not just a set of facts but a shared
understanding that is structured to be accessible, transferable, and
applicable to a variety of situation.
Inquiry into leadership learning challenges the
ingrained educational tradition of leaders working in
isolation and the idea that leadership is an isolated
and lonely trade.
