Professor Sun’s main research areas include educational principles, ethnic education,
education anthropology, and K-12 education reform. He has a wide range of research
outputs. By now he has led more than 20 national and provincial research projects, and
published more than 90 papers in academic journals such as Jiaoyu Yanjiu, and 14
academic book in national-level publishing houses such as Higher Education Press and
Education Science Press. In the meantime, one of his courses has been listed as
National Excellent Course of Teacher Education, two of his teaching programs awarded
the second prize of National Excellent Teaching Achievement. The other teaching and
research awards include one “State Planning” textbook, ten Guangxi Social Science
Research Excellent Awards, one distinguished Guangxi Basic Education Teaching Award,
and one of his textbooks awarded the first prize at the provincial level.
