美国史丹福大学根据Scopus资料库（涵盖论文总引用量、H-index、共同作者修正的 Schreiber hm-index等指标），于八月发布全球近700万名科学家中排名前10万位学者名单。环境科学乃176个研究子领域之一，被引用次数最高的学者（1996至2018年）有1,173人，香港教育大学科学与环境学系顾问（环境科学）黄铭洪教授位列24，荣膺全球华人学者之首。
香港教育大学（教大）今日（10月23日）举行「杰出学者讲座」，由法国前总理多明尼克．德维尔潘先生（Dominique de Villepin）担任主讲嘉宾。德维尔潘先生亦为一名历史学家，对拿破仑的生平事迹甚有研究，相关著作亦曾获奖。
The Distinguished Lecture is jointly organised by The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, and supported by The Academy of Hong Kong Studies and the Faculty of Humanities at EdUHK. It is organised as part of the French Consulate’s campaign to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Napoléon.
