美國史丹福大學根據Scopus資料庫（涵蓋論文總引用量、H-index、共同作者修正的 Schreiber hm-index等指標），於八月發布全球近700萬名科學家中排名前10萬位學者名單。環境科學乃176個研究子領域之一，被引用次數最高的學者（1996至2018年）有1,173人，香港教育大學科學與環境學系顧問（環境科學）黃銘洪教授位列24，榮膺全球華人學者之首。
香港教育大學（教大）今日（10月23日）舉行「傑出學者講座」，由法國前總理多明尼克．德維爾潘先生（Dominique de Villepin）擔任主講嘉賓。德維爾潘先生亦為一名歷史學家，對拿破崙的生平事跡甚有研究，相關著作亦曾獲獎。
The Distinguished Lecture is jointly organised by The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, and supported by The Academy of Hong Kong Studies and the Faculty of Humanities at EdUHK. It is organised as part of the French Consulate’s campaign to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of Napoléon.
