Introduction
Karen Liu has joined the Department of Social Sciences in 2022. She received her PhD degree in Geography from the University of Hong Kong, PGDE from the Education University of Hong Kong, and bachelor and master's degrees in environmental science from the Sun Yat-sen University. Before joining the department, Karen was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (2017-2022), and an Assistant Professor in Faculty of International Tourism and Management at City University of Macau (2016-2017).
