President’s Award for Outstanding Performanace in Research 2014/15
The President's Award for Outstanding Performance in Research was established to honour research excellence exhibited by individual academic staffs or teams and to recognise, encourage and reward outstanding research of significant benefit to the wider community. Head and Professor Chou Kee-lee of the Department of Asian and Policy Studies (APS) have been awarded the President's Award for Outstanding Performance in Research 2014/15 (Research Excellence Award). A presentation ceremony was held on 29 April 2015 where Professor John Lee Chi-kin, Vice President (Academic) of The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) presented the outstanding performance award to Professor Chou. Since 2012, Professor Chou has been awarded two General Research Fund (GRF) grants from the Research Grants Council and had one project funded by the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship Scheme and the Public Policy Research Fund, totaling over HK$4.2 million. Also, since 2012, he has published 20 academic papers in international peer reviewed journals, such as Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, Depression and Anxiety and the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry. He also held 12 conferences and published over 100 articles in local newspapers disseminating his research findings to the wider community.
