公共政策对话系列|新冠肺炎抗疫策略的十字路口:香港及全球状况

The Department of Asian and Policy Studies and the Academy of Hong Kong Studies of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), together with the Division of Public Policy of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), cordially invite you to attend the following Policy Dialogue Series featuring Professor Anthony Cheung, former Secretary for Transport and Housing (2012-17) and now Research Chair Professor of Public Administration at EdUHK and Adjunct Professor at HKUST. The Policy Dialogue Series began in 2018-19 and is now in its fourth annual series.
Policy Dialogue Series, 2021-22:
Covid-19 Strategy at the Crossroads: Hong Kong and worldwide
COVID-19 has caused the most serious health crisis in a century and the most devastating economic crisis since the Second World War. Governments around the world have to cope with sudden simultaneous health, economic and social challenges. There is no universally agreed way of appraising international performance in the fight against the pandemic, but some (in Asia and the Oceania) are clearly better than others in epidemic control and crisis recovery. As the pandemic focus shifts towards mass vaccination, some countries are accepting “co-existence” as an exit strategy as opposed to a “zero-tolerance” approach. This Policy Dialogue evaluates the performance of Hong Kong against worldwide anti-Covid policy strategies in order to draw some lessons.
