Guest Lecture: How Shi’ism shapes the Islamic Republic of Iran, then and now?

Mr. Alireza Esmaeilzadeh, presently the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Hong Kong and Macau. He has served in Iran’s embassy in Nairobi and also worked for the United Nations in various capacities. He got his bachelor degree on international relations (political) from the School of International Relations (SIR) affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the I.R. Iran. Then he continued his master degree in the University of Tehran in international relations (economic) and also followed a master program in the Fletcher School of law and Diplomacy. One of his interests he has worked on is how Iran and Shi’ism are linked together specially after 1979 Islamic Revolution.
