SSPS and AspirE Co-hosted the workshop on the challenges and future of transnational mobility

The Department of Social Sciences and Policy Studies (SSPS) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), and the AspirE co-hosted the workshop entitled The challenges and future of transnational mobility from 27 February to 2 March 2025. The workshop attracted 36 academic researchers from 14 countries spanning from Asia, Europe, Oceania to North America, has drawn attention to the urgency of understanding challenges and opportunities of contemporary migration and mobility.

I am thrilled to share with you all that Dr Amanda Chu's innovative project titled, "Using an Automatic Speech Analytics Program (ASAP) to Perform Early Detection of Psychosocial Distress in Young People: Acoustic and Linguistic Analysis," has been awarded by the Health and Medical Research Fund with a funded amount of HK$968,520.

IFPHK Confirms Course Exemptions for BA(PF) Students in CFP Certification

The Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK) has announced that students and graduates of the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Personal Finance Programme [BA(PF)] are now eligible for course exemptions in the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification. This prestigious recognition affirms the high standards of the BA(PF) curriculum and its alignment with the professional certification requirements in the financial sector.
