In order to enable
as many colleagues to contribute and as much dialogue to take place
as possible during the Symposium, the following interactive model for
paper presentation will be adopted: Contributed papers,
rather than being "presented" in the usual way, are shared
on the symposium website before the Symposium with the aim of stimulating
discussion among authors and participants. Participants are expected
to have read the papers before coming to the Symposium. The Symposium will take the form of panel discussions each built round a group of papers. The papers will be summarized by the session moderator, who will also identify some major issues to be discussed. Authors of the papers will each have five to seven minutes to comment on their own paper or relate it to those of others. The remaining time is reserved for discussion among the panelists and audience. |
