Objectives of the Student ePortfolio Award

The Student ePortfolio Award is organized by the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology of The Hong Kong Institute of Education, with the objectives to:

  • Promote the use of ePortfolios at HKIEd, and
  • Engage students to manage, monitor, reflect upon, and showcase their own learning with ePortfolios.

The student ePortfolio Award is launched with workshops and online resources to guide students to learn using ePortfolios to document and monitor their learning.

Eligibility

ALL undergraduate students of HKIEd are welcome to join the Award.

*Students who are awarded will be presented the prizes and honorable certificates at the Learning & Teaching Festival in March 2015. The awardees of Outstanding Award will be invited to give presentations to share and showcase their ePortfolios. The awarded ePortfolios will be showcased at the ePortfolio Award website and on poster boards at the Learning & Teaching Festival.

All submitted ePortfolios will be judged based on the ePortfolio evaluation rubrics with the following selection criteria:

Judging procedures

Finalists will be selected amongall ePortfolios submitted by the ePortfolio team according to the ePortfolio evulation rubics.

The judging panel formed by a group of teaching and academic staff from different faculties will select the ePortfoliosto be awarded from the finalists, according to the ePortfolio evaluation rubics.

The list of awardees will be announced on 16 February 2015. Students who are awarded will be invited to the Learning & Teaching Festival 2015 for the award presentation and sharing of their ePortfolios.

Deadline of submission

The Deadline for submitting your completed ePortfolio is 9 Jan 2015. Winners will be announced in February 2015.
