EdUHK Signs MoU with The High School Attached to Zhejiang University Strengthening Collaboration, Interaction, and Development Between Hong Kong and Mainland Education
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The High School Attached to Zhejiang University on 2 December 2024, on EdUHK’s Tai Po campus, aiming to strengthen collaboration, interaction and development of education between Hong Kong and Mainland China, as well as to foster collaboration in various areas such as teacher training, field experience and tertiary education for students from Mainland China.
EdUHK was represented by Vice President (Academic) Professor May Cheng May-hung and Mr Yu Lin, Principal, represented The High School Attached to Zhejiang University in signing the MoU. With this new partnership, both parties will encourage collaboration on multiple initiatives, including the ‘Mainland School Principals’ Nomination Scheme’, and field experience arrangements for EdUHK students, as well as teacher development activities.
Professor Cheng highlighted EdUHK's strong commitment to collaborating with schools in the mainland. She explained that this MoU would lay a solid foundation for the development between the two schools, bringing new opportunities for educational progress in both regions. She is eager to further strengthen cooperation in the education sector between both places and enhancing the quality of education.
Mr Yu Lin, Principal of The High School Attached to Zhejiang University, noted in his speech that he was very pleased to begin formal cooperation with EdUHK and welcomed the University’s students to participate in field experiences, internships, and exchange activities. He also looks forward to further deepening communication between both parties through various seminars or activities in the near future, through sharing resources and complementarity, and providing students with a richer learning experience.
The signing ceremony was also attended by EdUHK Director of School Partnership and Field Experience (SPFE) Director Dr Kevin Kam Wai-keung; Associate Director of SPFE Ms Mandy Au Yuen-yee; Mr Langton Cheung Yung-pong, Professional consultant of School Partnership and Field Experience Office; Mr Shen linfeng, Special Assistant to Principal of The High School Attached to Zhejiang University and other guests.
