EdUHK Graduate School signs MoUs with the College of Foreign Languages and Literature and the School of Philosophy of Fudan University to expand educational cooperation and collaboration

The Graduate School (GS) of the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), at Tai Po campus, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the College of Foreign Languages and Literature and the School of Philosophy of Fudan University (FDU) respectively on 21 November 2024. 


EdUHK President, Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, Vice President (Research and Development), Professor Chetwyn Chan Che Hin, and Dean of GS, Professor Michelle Gu Mingyue, welcomed the FDU delegation. Professor Gao Yongwei, Dean of the College of Foreign Languages and Literature, and Professor Zhang Shuangli, Dean of the School of Philosophy, represented FDU. Both parties look forward to deepening collaboration through academic exchanges, research collaboration, and faculty and student visits.  


Professor Lee reaffirmed that EdUHK highly values its cooperation and collaboration with universities in Mainland China. The MoUs lay a solid foundation for the joint development of both parties by enabling the exchange of resources and the transformation of individual organisations’ talent and research advantages into cooperative strengths. Professor Chan emphasised that the agreements would bring new opportunities for innovation in the field of education in Hong Kong and Mainland China. 


Leading scholars and management from both universities witnessed the signing ceremony. FDU guests included Professor Zheng Yongyan, Associate Dean of the College of Foreign Languages and Literature, Professor Yin Jie, Associate Dean of the School of Philosophy, Professor Tao Youlan, Head of the Faculty of Translation of the College of Foreign Languages and Literature, Ms Bao Yiyin, the secretary to the Dean of the College of Foreign Languages and Literature. Associate Deans of the GS, Professor Lee Kwai Sang and Professor Looi Chee Kit, Director of the Global Affairs Office, Mr Siu Koon Ming, and Chief of Staff of the GS, Ms Teresa Poon, joined the EdUHK delegation.
