EdUHK Signs MoU with Harrow Hong Kong Children School Shenzhen Qianhai Facilitating the integration, interaction, and development of education between Hong Kong and Mainland China

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Harrow Hong Kong Children School Shenzhen Qianhai (Harrow HKCS) on 7 November 2024 on EdUHK’s Tai Po campus. The purpose of this MoU is to promote educational integration, interaction and development of education between Hong Kong and Mainland China, and to foster collaboration in various areas such as teacher training and tertiary education for students from Mainland China.
 
EdUHK was represented by Vice President (Academic) Professor May Cheng May-hung, while Dr John Tan, Headmaster, represented Harrow HKCS in signing the MoU. With this new partnership, both parties will encourage collaboration on multiple initiatives, including the ‘Mainland School Principal’s Nomination Scheme’, and field experience arrangements for EdUHK students, as well as teacher development activities.
 
Professor Cheng highlighted EdUHK's strong commitment to collaborating with schools in the mainland. She explained that this MoU would lay a solid foundation for future development and bring new opportunities for educational advancement between Hong Kong and mainland China. It will not only provide students with the chance to learn and grow in different cultural environments, allowing them to better understand and integrate into the educational systems of both places, but will also promote professional exchanges among teachers, further deepening cooperation between the education sectors and enhancing the quality of education in both regions.

 

The signing ceremony was also attended by EdUHK School Partnership and Field Experience Office Director Dr Kevin Kam Wai-keung, Associate Director Ms Mandy Au Yuen-yee; Mr Calvin Kwan, Deputy Head (Academic) of Harrow HKCS and other guests.
