Professor Kevin Chung Honoured by Association for Psychological Science
Professor CHUNG, Kien Hoa Kevin | Chair Professor of Child Development and Special Education, Head, Department of Early Childhood Education
Professor Kevin Chung Kien-hoa, Chair Professor of Child Development and Special Education, and Head of the Department of Early Childhood Education at The Education University of Hong Kong, was named a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science (APS), for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of psychological science.
Professor Chung has been widely published in the areas of dyslexia, reading and writing, child development and educational psychology.
He and his collaborators have developed assessment tools and resource packages for children and adolescents, especially those with difficulty reading and writing. These tools and packages are extensively used in Hong Kong.
“I am both humbled and honoured to receive this fellowship. It actually recognises the achievements of my collaborators, students and colleagues. Nothing could have been achieved without their hard work and dedication”, Professor Chung said.
