The mission of the SRFS project is to develop a student-centred assessment-driven adaptive learning system. Central to this mission is the aim to challenge prevailing norms in education, particularly those rooted in top-down, teacher-centric paradigms. A cornerstone of education is the cultivation of students as independent, self-directed learners prepared for future study and work. To realise this goal and foster sustainable educational practices, the SRFS project adopts a bottom-up, student-centric approach that emphasises the pivotal role of students in the learning and assessment processes. By enhancing student-centred assessment-driven learning theories and establishing an adaptive learning platform, this project seeks to relieve educators of repetitive grading work, allowing them more meaningful engagement in supporting student progress. For learners, this platform enables personalised learning experiences, fostering a sense of ownership and agency over their educational journey. The outcomes of this project, by streamlining teaching practices and enhancing student learning effectiveness, hold significant promise for optimising educational efficiency.
