The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and Routledge, an internationally renowned publisher, recently signed an agreement to publish a new book series, "The Routledge Series on Chinese Language Education". The series will become a step further towards the development of Chinese language education internationally and the enhancement of the academic influence of the Department of Chinese Language Studies (CHL), further developing the CHL into a leading centre of Chinese language education research in the region.
The series will be edited by a strong cast of editors, including Professor John Lee Chi-kin, Vice President (Academic) and Provost of the EdUHK, Professor Tong Ho-kin, Research Fellow at the Centre for Research on Chinese Language and Education, Faculty of Humanities of the EdUHK, Professor Liu Lening from Columbia University in the US, Professor Yuan Boping from the University of Cambridge in the UK, and Dr Liang Yuan, Acting Head of the CHL of the EdUHK.
