截至二零一七年六月三十日，本校獲研資局及其他資助機構*撥款之研究項目，連 同仍在進行及新獲資助者，合共一百七十八個，總額高逾一億一千一百八十萬港 元。研究項目涵蓋廣泛學科，包括:教育、人文及藝術、心理及語言學、社會及行 為科學、以及自然及健康科學等。期間，四十二個資助項目已圓滿完成，研究課題 由幼兒教育、應用心理學、環境研究，以至創意藝術及文化等，極為多元。同年， 教大學者發表了七百八十七項獲引述的學術研究著述，包括:學術期刊文章、書籍 著作，或書籍著作中個別章節，其中百分之五十六與教育學科有關，包括:幼兒教 育、中小學教育、技術教育及特殊教育等。
本校研究人員之出色表現，正印證教大在教育學科和其他相關學科之雄厚研究實 力，實有賴不同學科之資深與年輕學者彼此協同互補。本校學術與教學人員亦為 公共知識分子，積極參與社會課題的討論與倡議，如:出任政府各委員會或智庫 成員與主席，以及於公共論壇發表主題演說等。

促進中國語文教育的新國際學術平台
二零一七年六月，本校與美國哥倫比亞大學中文部 及香港中華書局，一同創辦《國際中文教育學報》。 該刊以中英雙語出版有關中國語言學、語文教育及教 授中文為第二語言的頂尖研究論文，為中國語文教育 搭建國際學術平台。
頂尖學報發表突破性科學發現
生物科學研究講座教授胡紹燊教授領導一個由香港 城市大學、香港浸會大學、香港中文大學及香港大學 專家組成的研究團隊，並首次發現缺氧會引發表觀 遺傳變化，從而減損魚類跨代生育能力。是項突破性 發現發表於二零一六年七月號《自然通訊》。該學報 為世界權威科學學報，涵蓋物理學、化學、地球科學 與生物學等自然科學。

New International Academic Platform Promoting Chinese Language Education
In June 2017, the University co-founded the International Journal of Chinese Language Education with the Chinese Language Program at Columbia University and Chung Hwa Book Co. (H.K.) Ltd. The bilingual journal, which is an international academic platform for Chinese language education, publishes top-quality research articles and papers in Chinese linguistics, language education, and teaching Chinese as a second language.
Ground-breaking Scienti c Findings Published in Top Journal
Leading a cross-university research team comprising experts from City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The University of Hong Kong, Professor Rudolf Wu, Research Chair Professor of Biological Sciences, discovered that hypoxia can cause epigenetic changes, leading to trans-generational reproductive impairments in sh. The new ndings were published in the July 2016 issue of Nature Communications, an authoritative scienti c journal that covers the natural sciences, including physics, chemistry, earth sciences and biology.
