Discuss the following examples of parent comments about
parent teacher meetings.
◆ I go on every opportunity and they say "Yes, she's
fine, she's fine". We queued up for three quarters of
an hour to see her panel chair and he said "Yes, she's
fine. Bye".
◆ I take someone with me who does interpret for me,
my fourth daughter. Yes she goes every time and I
prefer to take her with me because she can also pick
up on what the teachers may say. Obviously it might
be somewhat restricting on the teachers.
◆ I said to her (my daughter) I'm going to have to go up
and talk to someone about this because I'm really
concerned and she was frantic because going up and
making a special appointment is making a fuss!
