Case Study 4
A new website has become popular amongst students.
The site is called ‘www.ratemyteachers.com’.
The site encourages students to write about their teachers
and to give them a rating. The site is popular in the USA
and other countries. The website allows students from
any school to anonymously grade teachers and attack or
praise them. It has become widely known through chat,
internet instant messaging networks and blogs on per-
sonal web pages.
Unfortunately, some students have taken the opportunity
to cyber-bully their teachers. They have written some ter-
rible things about their teachers and rated them very
poorly. Teachers of the school want something done
about this.
