I wish to convey my heartfelt congratulations to The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) on being awarded university title. This is recognition of the efforts and contribution from the Council, management, staff, students and supporters – past and present.
Over the years, EdUHK has been making commendable progress in developing into a multidisciplinary institution with a core focus on teacher education and a good spread of complementary disciplines,
in achieving its mission of “Education-plus”. I am con dent that the university title and status would boost public con dence in the quality of teaching and learning of the University, as well as the capabilities of the graduates in rising up to the challenges in a more globalised world, in both education and broader workplace settings.
Finally I wish that in the near future, there will be still more celebrations to come for The Education University of Hong Kong for continuing to reach even higher rankings in excellence. Together, we shall build Hong Kong into the education hub of the region.
