林碧霞博士获最佳论文奖

Dr Lam Bick-har, Associate Professor of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at The Education University of Hong Kong, won the Best Paper Award at the Redesigning Pedagogy Conference held from 31 May to 2 June. Her paper, written with an external researcher Ms Winkie Li, takes findings from health psychology to help improve social support in education. It highlights how different contexts help or inhibit the beneficial effects of social support, and looks at how students’ social capital can be improved to enhance their learning and well-being. Dr Lam also looked at ways teachers could support students to enhance their own development and well-being.

曾耀辉博士获委任为美国国家科学基金会评审

Dr Tsang Yiu-fai was recently invited to serve on the grant proposal review panel of the Partnerships for Innovation: Building Innovation Capacity programme organised by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the United States.

甘志珊博士获发医疗衞生研究基金

甘志珊博士获医疗衞生研究基金拨款一百一十五万港元，资助一项有关儿童读写障碍的研究――「听力辅助设备对有读写障碍儿童的治疗成效评估 – 随机对照试验」。在这个先导研究计划，甘博士将会探讨个人调频教学辅助系统是否可以改善读写障碍儿童的认字及言语感知能力。

高级讲师黄裕邦先生成为Lambda Literary Awards首名亚洲得奖者

黄裕邦先生凭诗集《天裂》，获得第二十八届美国Lambda Literary Awards (Lammys) 的男同志诗歌组别首奖。他不但是首位香港人获此殊荣，更是亚洲第一人。
