Participants

Undergraduate students from the 4 participating universities in the following majors:

  • STEM-related subjects (e.g. Science, Engineering, Mathematics, ICT)
  • STEM Education Subjects (e.g. Science Education, Mathematics Education, Information Technology Education), including students in Bachelor of Education and PGDE programmes.

Mission of the participants

The participants will be divided into groups of six to conduct projects to meet the needs of individual organisations/service providers. The project will involve the design of STEM artefacts or activities for specific targets including young students, the elderly, disabled people or residents in the community. It also involves trials to test the effectiveness of the artefacts or activities. All tasks to be undertaken will be mutually agreed by both the organizers and service providers and 1 to 2 university tutors will be supervising the progress of work for each group.
