On 28 August 2023, the MPPM course prepared a briefing session on Internship/Overseas Experiential Learning for students to adapt to the incoming semester. Dr Lina VYAS, the programme Leader of MPPM, introduced the programme objectives and details of Overseas Experiential Learning to the students. Then Dr Glenn HUI, the MPPM internship coordinator, elaborated on the structure and significance of the internship course. The students said that this briefing gave them a clear frame of the course and a good chance to meet new classmates.
The Internship/Overseas Experiential Learning course of the Master of Public Policy and Management has always been one of the most popular elective subjects. The involvement in Internship / Overseas Experiential Learning will facilitate students to network in professional fields they are considering for career paths and grant them an opportunity for professional advancement.
It will enable students to advance teamwork roles and skills and boost group bonding through engagement in various collaborative and competitive extended team-based exercises. It is anticipated that the skills attained from working with an organization or overseas lectures and site visits will benefit students in facilitating them to enhance their performance in their jobs after graduation.A warm welcome to all the students!
