- 辨識與傳統中國及現代中國相關的關鍵社會文化議題、歷史地理面向和政治經濟成就；
- 解釋在小學人文學科課程框架的關鍵知識和教學概念如何能夠讓學生能夠對祖國及其與香港緊密關係有多向度認識；
- 根據現行的小學人文學科課程中關於我們國家的元素，計劃和組織合適的體驗式學習活動；
- 設計並實施具有理論基礎的評估策略，以掌握學生在小學人文科課程框架內的學習進展。
