Welcome
to the PAI website of the Hong Kong Institute of Education. The
Office of Planning and Academic Implementation was established in early
1998 to support the Institute¡¦s central planning work, including academic
planning, strategic
planning, and academic manpower
planning.
In
academic planning, the PAI Office undertakes the overall coordination in
the formulation of the Institute¡¦s Academic Development Proposals based on
strategic contextual analysis and research on teacher education needs. In
addition, the Office supports the formulation of the Institute's strategic
plan and its implementation, including providing advice to the senior
management on the development of policies, mechanisms, processes and
guidelines.
To
support the senior management in its decision making on academic manpower and
resource management, the Office also provides
them with timely and quality management information.
Besides
providing an introduction on our Office, this website also contains
up-to-date information on teacher education programmes offered in Hong
Kong and useful links
related to planning in higher education. I hope
