Connected Online - Website Launched for Special Education

The "Federation In Community Support" website was officially launched on 1 June, 2006. It acts as a central information and service hub, linking the different stakeholders to relevant support agencies and organisations via the Internet. This website provides updated information on service agencies at the different stages of education: from early childhood, primary, secondary, up to post-secondary levels. Anyone seeking information can conveniently locate the various services – education, assessment, counselling, teacher development training and parents’ workshops – available. So far, the website contains linkages and information to more than 50 local support agencies and more than 70 major international sites. Information on each organisation is categorised according to the support services provided. These range from services for the sight and hearing impaired as well as other physical disabilities, in addition to social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, dyslexia and other specific learning disabilities.
