Connected Online - Website Launched for Special Education

According to Professor Morris, President of HKIEd, there are a large number of service providers in Hong Kong who cater for the needs of students with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties. However, there is no centralised and one-stop information service platform where parents can identify all service providers in one convenient searchable format. The Federation In Community Support website launched through the Faculty of Professional and Early Childhood Education thus serves to fill the vacuum in this respect.

To better serve the needs of children, this website will also take up a coordinating role, fostering cross-disciplinary communication and cooperation among parents, school authorities, teachers, medical and welfare professionals, as well as related government departments and non-government groups.
