Four Flagship Projects on HKIEd-School Principals Partnership

Mentorship Training Programme for Principals
• 8 training programmes for 297 principals

Since its establishment in 2001, the Centre for Learning-study and School Partnership has been playing a pivotal role in the development of partnerships with local schools. Between 2004 and 2006, the Centre organised a series of Mentorship Training Programmes for Principals, which received very positive feedback from participants. The Programme is designed to focus particularly on the needs of principals and their leadership role in supporting mentorship development in schools. It highlights the practical aspects, showing how principals can translate and apply the mentoring concept to support development within their own schools.

Research Grants Council Members were impressed by the Institute’s commitment to research and scholarship which have a strong applied dimension to meet the needs of local community. I must commend the programme for its abilities to put the focus back into teaching and learning in our schools. The programme is highly inspirational, as it helps us to identify critical aspects and elements in teaching that will enhance overall learning effectiveness.
