Partnering with Principals for Excellence in Education

Without the support of school principals, The Hong Kong Institute of Education would not be regarded as a hub for teacher education in Hong Kong. Over the years, thousands of school principals have been our partners, our advisors, our sounding boards and indeed our graduates' employers. In recent years, this HKIEd and principals partnership has risen to even greater heights with the many innovative research and other practices initiated by the Institute.

In this feature, we provide a glimpse of this close partnership through two articles. The first is an overall review of our partnerships with school principals in the past three years, highlighted by four flagship projects. The second item covers the 2nd Hong Kong School Principals' Conference 2006, which was organised by HKIEd, and regarded as one of Hong Kong's education summits, drawing a record turnout of more than 1,000 Hong Kong school leaders.

Facts and Figures on HKIEd-School Principals Partnership
