Institutional Research on Principals' Rating on Graduate Performance
• 4 rounds of surveys involving 1,946 principals and 6,707 graduates

Introduced in 2002 by the Centre for Institutional Research and Development, the surveys are designed to collect statistical and scientific data on how school principals rate the performance of our graduates. Apart from collecting feedback on their performance in the immediate year past, graduates with one, two and three years of teaching experience are also tracked. In the survey, school principals are asked to rate HKIEd graduates in their working attitudes; ability to use Chinese as a teaching medium; working relations with students, principals and other teachers; knowledge of major subjects taught; and their use of information technology. This feedback from school principals allows the Institute to upgrade our teacher education programmes on a continuing basis.
