Thank You for Your Generous Support

This forum is the first official function organised by the Centre for Religious and Spirituality Education, which was inaugurated in the same month. From September 2006 onwards, this Centre will launch various programmes related to religious knowledge, philosophy, spiritual cultivation, as well as religious education. The programmes will be open to all full-time HKIEd students.

With the tremendous support of Hong Kong's various religious groups, a total of $13 million has been raised to finance this Centre, exceeding the original target of $11 million. This funding is seen as sufficient to cover the Centre's operating costs for the first five years. The generous donations came from Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui ($2 million), the Hong Kong Catholic Diocese ($3 million), the Hong Kong Buddhist Association ($2 million), Sik Sik Yuen ($3 million) and the Ching Chung Taoist Association ($3 million).

Partnering with Principals 畢業生榮膺教育界首選 Research Grants Council Members were impressed by the Institute’s commitment to research and scholarship which have a strong applied dimension to meet the needs of local community.
