We are delighted to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Theodore Lee and Dr. Jiafang Lu on receiving the 15-Year Long Service Award, a recognition of their dedicated service and unwavering support to the Department of Education Policy and Leadership.
Dr Theodore Lee serves as the Associate Head (Learning and Teaching) of the Department of Education Policy and Leadership. Before joining EdUHK, he spent a decade as a secondary school teacher. Over the years, Dr Lee has made significant contributions to research and education. He was honored with the Outstanding Paper Winner award by Emerald Literati Network’s Awards for Excellence in 2017; and was part of the team that received the Certificate of Merit under the FEHD Caring Teacher Award Scheme (Team Award) in 2023-24, alongside Dr Maxwell Ho and Mr Martin Lam.
Dr Jiafang Lu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education Policy and Leadership and a founding member and the current Acting Co-Director of The Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust Asia Pacific Center for Leadership and Change (APCLC), a university-level strategic research and development centre established in 2010 at EdUHK. Dr Lu has an impressive track record of excellence in research, projects, and academic achievements. Recently, under the supervision of Prof Allan Walker, she and Dr Sedat Gumus have secured a 51-month donation project from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to design and implement a comprehensive programme, JC InnoPower Education Fellowship, to support the sustainable development of school leaders to lead future-ready, inclusive schools.
We sincerely thank Dr Lee and Dr Lu for their remarkable contributions and dedication to the department.
