On behalf of my colleagues, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to the Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL).

Our department brings together a rich breadth of expertise across diverse areas related to schools and the varied social, cultural, and policy contexts in which they operate. We are dedicated to supporting educational leaders by providing strategic vision, rigorous training, and practical resources grounded in evidence-based practice and international research. Through this work, we aim to help build high-performing schools and learning communities that serve society effectively.

We work at the intersection of world-class research and teaching. As education changes rapidly due to geopolitical changes and tools such as artificial intelligence, EPL remains committed to innovation in thought and practice. Our goal is to support leaders across schools, colleges, and universities in developing versatile talent, a resilient workforce, and a strong sense of responsible citizenship. We offer exceptional learning experiences through programs such as the BSc in Executive Management and the Executive MA in International Educational Leadership and Change, with our undergraduate and postgraduate offerings continuing to evolve in response to growing global demand.

Our department benefits from strong international collaborations and connections across multiple countries. EPL scholars actively contribute to EdUHK research centres, including the Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change (APCLC), the Centre for Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies (CHELPS), and the Global Research Institute for Finnish Education (GRIFE). Through advancing leadership and policy studies around the world, we aim to enrich scholarship and promote best practice. In EPL, you will encounter an intellectually stimulating environment that encourages continuous professional and personal growth. You will be both supported and challenged as you contribute your expertise and engage with new ideas and perspectives.

I warmly invite you to introduce yourself to our diverse and thriving research community. We value collaboration and teamwork, and we look forward to partnering with you as we continue our tradition of excellence in teaching, research, and service.

We are delighted you are exploring us and hope you will be in touch.
