EdUHK Presents Honorary Fellowships to Two Distinguished Individuals

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) has named two distinguished individuals as Honorary Fellows in recognition of their remarkable contributions to the University, the education and sports sector and the wider community. They are (in alphabetical order of surnames):

  • Mr Chung Chi-kwong
  • Madam Pauline Ngan Po-ling, BBS, JP

EdUHK Council Chairman Dr David Wong Yau-kar presided over the Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony, which was held on the Tai Po campus today (28 June).

EdUHK President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin paid tribute to the award recipients. He praised them for the fact that, despite their professional achievements, they have never forgotten to contribute to society and have stayed true to their original intentions. He said, “The two honorary fellows have not only achieved outstanding success in their professional careers, but have also dedicated much of their time and effort to education, so that others may benefit.”

“Mr Chung has devoted much time to learning about and promoting traditional Chinese values and culture to young people while Madam Ngan, as a business leader, she has committed herself to public service and charitable work, particularly in the field of education.”

The Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony has been held since 2009 to recognise outstanding members of the community who have devoted their efforts and talent to their roles as school principals and teachers, or exemplary leaders in various professions, businesses and industries.
