The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held today (31 July) the opening ceremony for the International Geography Olympiad (iGeo), an annual event intended to arouse interest in geographical and environmental studies among the young people around the world. The seven-day event, organised by the Department of Social Sciences of EdUHK, is being held in Hong Kong for the first time.

Two articles co-authored by Dr Alex He Jingwei, Associate Professor at the Department of Asian and Policy Studies, The Education University of Hong Kong, have been recognised for their high academic impact and selected by leading international journal Health Policy and Planning for inclusion in the collection “China’s health system reform: 10 years on”.

To facilitate research and knowledge transfer in Chinese linguistics studies and Chinese Language education, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) announced the establishment of the Centre for Research on Chinese Language and Education (CRCLE). The inauguration ceremony was held today (26 July) on the occasion of “The Fifth International Conference on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language”.

The Department of Chinese Language Studies (CHL) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and the Chinese Programme at Princeton University are jointly organising the “2nd Advanced Workshop on IB Concepts and Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (TCSL)” from 17 to 27 July 2019.
