EdUHK Establishes Centre for Research on Chinese Language and Education

To facilitate research and knowledge transfer in Chinese linguistics studies and Chinese Language education, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) announced the establishment of the Centre for Research on Chinese Language and Education (CRCLE). The inauguration ceremony was held today (26 July) on the occasion of “The Fifth International Conference on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language”.

HK$10m Capacity Building Project Awarded by Construction Industry Council

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) at The Education University of Hong Kong has been awarded a HK$10 million contract by the Construction Industry Council (CIC) for a term of three years to teach 15 courses for the teaching staff at the Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC).

Assessment Research Centre Recognised for Collaboration on Social Metacognition Theory Research

The Assessment Research Centre at The Education University of Hong Kong has received recognition from the World Education Research Association (WERA) for its key International Research Network (IRN) on social metacognition and big data. The IRN’s 28 researchers, from 17 universities in nine countries and regions, are collaborating on seven research projects, involving large data sets, regarding how a group’s executive thinking influences its members’ actions.
