MISSION
The mission of the EMPS Department is to prepare caring
education professionals for schools and other educational or training organizations.
We prepare young people for entry into the teaching profession by educating them in the
pastoral, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, and management dimensions of
teaching; help practicing teachers upgrade themselves in these areas; and prepare
practitioners for such roles as counselor, panel head, vice-principal, principal and for
such functions as leadership, management, policy development, policy analysis, and
educational planning.
COLLABORATION
We seek to foster a supportive, harmonious learning
environment for students, practicing educators, and colleagues.
EXCELLENCE
We strive to teach, research, and consult at a level of
excellence that is recognized locally and internationally.
