🌟 A Collaborative Exchange between ELE and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign 🌟

On January 7, 2025, ELE had the pleasure of welcoming a distinguished group of guests from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), including scholars, PhD candidates, and both postgraduate and undergraduate students.

In the morning, Mr. Denis Wong, Lecturer at ELE, guided the visitors on a school visit to Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School (Primary Division). During their time there, they observed a class and toured the facilities to gain insights into Hong Kong's education system. 

In the afternoon, an engaging meeting led by Professor Lixun Wang, Associate Dean (International Engagement), along with Dr. Ju Seong Lee, Acting Head of Department, and Mr. Denis Wong, focused on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) and iGlobal initiatives (Teaching Practicum in global settings). The UIUC team resonated with ELE's human-centric, care-innovation-sustainability approach, and we explored various potential future international collaborative projects that aim to create a social impact.
