We are delighted to recognize YI Jing, a graduate of the PGDE(ECE) 2-year Part-time programme (Programme code: C2P040), for her outstanding achievements. Her journey in early childhood education has been marked by a continuous pursuit of knowledge and a deep appreciation for the diverse sources of learning that have shaped her professional growth.
“Throughout my journey in early childhood education, I have found guidance and inspiration from various sources. Whether it be the scholars depicted in textbooks, educators imparting knowledge within our university, or the children with whom I share learning experiences, each has played a pivotal role as a ‘teacher’ in my development. Their presence has been invaluable in enhancing my teaching skills, allowing me to acquire insights drawn from real-life scenarios. By fostering this connection between culture and their lives, we aim to make cultural appreciation accessible. Hence, in the K2 educational phase, our approach should extend beyond language development to nurturing expressive skills. Through immersive encounters with nature and daily life, children can internalize the essence of Chinese culture(s), fostering a genuine interest and appreciation. This holistic approach lays a robust foundation for their comprehensive growth and development.”
