ECE EdUHK Students Winning Awards at the “11th Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award”

Congratulations to five ECE EdUHK students for winning three Gold Awards, one Silver Award, and receiving one Merit, at the “11th Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Award”!

Co-organised by the Hong Kong Prospective Teachers Association and the Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association, the Award aims to recognize pre-service teachers for their excellent ability and ambition in education; encouraging them to continuously pursue excellence and improvement in teaching; and provide opportunities for meaningful interactions among peers and seniors in the field of ECE.  The teaching ability of these ECE EdUHK students were well acknowledged by the panel of judges, which consists of education professionals.

The list of award winners of ECE EdUHK and their sharing are as follows:

Gold Award
Chan Hoi Ching, Zoe

Year 5 student of Bachelor of Education (Honours) (ECE) (Five-year Full-time)

“I am glad to attend this contest. It enabled me to review the knowledge I had acquired in these five years of study in the Early Childhood Education Programme and receive valuable guidance from the principals. I hope I can guard my heart and continue to improve myself in teaching.”

 

Cheung Tsz Ching
 Year 5 student of Bachelor of Education (Honours) (ECE) (Five-year Full-time)

“I am honored to participate in this competition, which provides an opportunity for me to summarize five years of learning. It allows me to try and apply the teaching methods and techniques I have learned, while sharing my own ideas and thoughts. Receiving recognition and affirmation from the principal has increased my confidence in my education and also serves as a validation of my five years of learning.”

 

Szeto Hiu Ching, Jane
Year 5 student of Bachelor of Education (Honours) (ECE) (Five-year Full-time)

“Receiving personal feedback from kindergarten principals was a truly precious opportunity. I was honoured to be recognized as an awardee, which affirmed my efforts. The invaluable feedback inspires me to enhance my teaching and follow up on my students' learning. I am sincerely grateful for these insights that shape me as an educator. “

 

Silver Award

Wong Hei Tung

Year 5 student of Bachelor of Education (Honours) (ECE) (Five-year Full-time)

“I am delighted to have won the Silver Award at the 11th Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Awards. This has given me greater confidence in my teaching abilities. Moving forward, I will continue to strive and provide high-quality education for young children.”

Merit

Wong Hoi Yan
Year 2 student of Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education (Two-year Full-time)

“I am grateful for receiving Merit at the Hong Kong Outstanding Prospective Teachers Awards. I have learned a lot from this activity. I would like to thanks for my supervisor, Mr Cheng, for the guidance and encouragement.”
