In this INTER-CONVERSATIONS, we have invited Mr. Kingman Chung, a Registered Music Therapist (Australia) and the Director of the International Music Therapy Centre (IMTC) in Hong Kong, to conduct a workshop on purposeful musical activities for the early childhood education classroom.
Mr. Kingman Chung is a passionate speaker and therapist. He has worked with students with special needs for more than 8 years. He has a knack for using music to rehabilitate people with cognitive, emotional, physical, social and/or speech needs, bringing them healing through music. In 2019, he was featured by TVB Pearl Magazine on his work with cancer and stroke patients in Hong Kong.
In this workshop, he will tell us more about music therapy and share strategies teachers can use in their classrooms to engage students with special needs and their classmates through music. Be prepared to learn some practical music activities that you can use in your preschool or kindergarten to enhance the learning of all children!
