Dr Chan Wai-ling says HK could learn from Macau, Taiwan on offering early childhood education

by Dr Chan Wai-ling, Assistant Professor of Department of Early Childhood Education; and Associate Director of Centre for Childhood Research and Innovation, HKIEd

In her HK Economic Journal column, Dr Chan said Hong Kong could take reference from Macau and Taiwan on how they implemented free early childhood education. The two areas managed to overcome issues related to rental costs, co-existence of non-profit making and private kindergartens as well setting up pay scales for kindergarten teachers.
